Food Safety and System Specialist
Peter lives in the outskirts of Atlanta, Georgia, and has been employed by Coca Cola in various Quality and Engineering Management positions for over thirty years. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
Peter brings to D.L. Newslow & Associates, Inc. vast knowledge in extensive process troubleshooting, root cause analysis and quality assurance. His most recent assignment has been as the Coca-Cola Supply Chain Sanitarian. His primary areas of responsibility were plant water systems and equipment cleaning and sanitizing process validation, providing strategic direction to improve plant water quality and sanitation at locations across the country. He has comprehensive knowledge of the soft drink, chilled juice, aseptic and hot fill beverage industry, its production procedures, quality assurance techniques and related health guidelines. He is anxious to share this vast experience with our clients.
Peter holds Certifications in FSPCA Preventive Controls (PCQI), HACCP and Change Management. He is a qualified Instructor in a number of food safety curriculums, has been a member of the International Society of Beverage Technologists and has Food Sanitation Institute Hygienic Design Training.
When not working, Pete is a dedicated “family man”; he has been happily married to Lynn, a Microbiologist, for 35 years. Together they have two grown children. Their son is a member of the Alabama National Guard and is currently deployed, a situation that is very stressful for Mom and Dad. Luckily, their daughter is still close to her family home and works at a local hospital as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
