Tammi was born at Camp Lejeune, NC and throughout her childhood has lived all over the United States (Pittsburgh PA, Erie PA, Pittsfield MA, Concord and Walnut Creek CA, Ghana West Africa and Baton Rouge LA).  She graduated from LSU in 1985 with a degree in Microbiology; and met her husband while working at Coca-Cola in Baltimore, Maryland.  Bob and Tammi have been married for 35 years and currently live in Apollo Beach, FL. They have 3 grown sons, Corey (33), Codey (31) and Colin (28).

 As a Food Safety and Quality Assurance professional with more than 35 years of diversified experience in the manufacturing industries, Tammi is experienced in working in fast-paced, cross-functional team environments. Tammi has aided companies in achieving certification for FSSC 22000, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SQF 9 and has recently acquired her Certificate as a lead instructor for FDA/FSPCA Preventative Controls for Human Food.

Tammi has worked in positions as: Director of Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety, Senior Quality Manager, “Quality Assurance Manager”, Quality Business Director and Quality Warehouse Manager for companies including Coca Cola North America, Gerber Products, Jimmy Dean Sausage (Sarah Lee) and Pepsi-Cola Bottling.

 

Tammi has experience with USDA and FDA, Strategic Planning, Project and Change Management, Management of 3rd Party Vendors and can do JPA and GMP Audits.

She possesses strong leadership, organizational, computer and communication skills.  Her passion is education and the development of others.  Tammi looks forward to partnering with clients in the pursuit of continuous improvement.

Tammi brings a vast number of skills and experience with her to D. L. Newslow & Associates through her education and previous work experience. We are excited to have her join our team as a Consultant, Teacher, Auditor and Friend.
